C# in Front Office: Advanced C# in Practice ReviewThere is something almost beautiful about C# in Front Office. In a day and age where we are inundated by so many structured, seemingly useless factoids information from highly commercialized sources, it was really a privilege for me to find a book that can truly further one's knowledge of systems and computing in today's Financial businesses.
This book really breaks the paradigm of what learning in computer science has become (i.e. "Hello world," then code snippets and definitions). It's task-driven (not quite a lab, but an effective hybrid of teaching and examples in a linear, goal-oriented manner), and can be broken into a series of small projects that the reader can easily follow along with, and whose end product is immediately useful as an effective base for many of my projects in the Hedge Fund business. It was a privilege to stumble upon it, and I'm looking forward to continuing my education with More on C# in Front Office.

It's unfortunate that this book has received such little attention while Wiley and Apress make their fortunes via well-marketed but poorly delivered content.
