Setting up a Web Server ReviewThis book is NOT a detailed step-by-step guide on how to set up a web server as it's name or summary might suggest. While it provides a good overview on some of the features that make up a web server, the way the material is presented leaves much to be desired. If you don't already have at least some idea of what each of the topics being presented are about, this book will not help you understand them conceptually. In my opinion, this book is poorly written, incomplete, inconsistent, superficial, biased, and repetitive in style, making it almost painful to read. The summary states that it "is the complete reference book..." Don't believe it. This book will be in the recycle bin before it finds a permanent place on my bookshelf as a reference guide.Setting up a Web Server OverviewSetting Up a Web Server was written to help new and prospective web masters choose, configure, use, and understand how web servers work.
