Professional Silverlight 4 (Wrox Programmer to Programmer) ReviewI read a lot of reviews, but hardly ever write one.
The two reviews that gave this book 2 stars ... puzzled me ... and prompted this IMHO.
The book cover looks same as the copy I purchased ... "maybe" the content is different.
Or maybe I am totally clueless. :-(
I have most every recent Silverlight book ... and this is the book I find most helpful.
Caveat ... I am not using this book to learn Silverlight, but as a reference.
I would encourage you to use Amazon's "Search inside this book" feature ... to at least browse the TOC and Index.
As for one reviewer's comment that Chapter 6 shows how to "how to setup the bindings" ... but it is not until Chapter 7 that the book "introduce bindings" ... I generally do not read this type of book linearly from cover-to-cover.
I skip around ... look for topics that interest me.
I also depend on a good Index to guide me ... and this book has a pretty good Index.
The content is generally too complex and intertwined to expect a perfect progression of ideas.
Also, I do not just read this book by itself ... I jump back-n-forth between
* Professional Silverlight 4
* searching MSDN
* Binging/Googling the web.
