The author tried to cover a lot of Operating Systems, from x86 (Windows and Linux) to Mac, Sparks and Cisco, so you should be aware whether this is your focus or not, if not you will take advantage of a few chapters of the book. In my case, I was interested just in x86 shellcode programming, so I should paid half of the price (just kidding).
