Joomla 1.5 Cookbook ReviewI have been working with Joomla for a little while and have struggled with many of the basic tasks in a Joomla website. As a new web developer who inherited a Joomla site, I find much of the documentation for Joomla very technical and out of my league.I found the cook book style of this book to be perfect! It is written in common English, difficult concepts are made easy. In fact, it helped me through areas I had to struggle with to learn.
I wish I had had this book from the start!
I enjoyed the easy reading style, the very clear instructions and the plethora of recipes.
The book helped me by understanding how to install on GoDaddy (my host) and how to solve problems that arise.
This was timely as well, due to the fact I am adding K2 to my site - the chapter on K2 is extensive and well written.
The Forum I use, Agora , was covered somewhat which was a nice surprise!
The author also included a chapter on Joomla 1.6 - ( and 1.6 didn't make sense until I read this chapter) - now I have a much better understanding.
