2011 Social Media Directory: The Ultimate Guide to Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn Resources ReviewI was asked by Que to give a professional review of this directory and sent a free copy. I found this book offers a great starting point for people that are in the beginning stages of making their transition into following organizations in social media. The benefit of its contents is for general living information such as, Health, Home, Hobbies and 12 other generic topics.Overall it is a good start at trying to catalog a rapidly changing world of organizations that can be found online. I look forward to seeing where they go with this exercise and can imagine this to be a bi-annual directory. This book is a great start if Que is seriously interested in cornering the space of helping beginning and non technical social media users simplify their online searching.
This book is not for intermediate or advanced social media participants as you will find that your own search tools probably exceed what this book delivers. I did find the title to be misleading as the book's contents are not on social media topics (social media specialized PR, consultants, agencies, measurement services, technology firms, etc.).
